MR - Intellectual Disability/Autism was created by Thistlelass
i am busy framing the MR for my adult son. His circumstances changed and we requested a review of his PIP - standard rate for care and mobility for past 2 years. An incident in the community, which I wont go into, has occurred, and consequently he has only now been
diagnosed as having a mild Intellectual Disability and being Autistic. Previously his known disability was Dyspraxia and it was on this and dyspeaxia that he transferred from DLA to PIP. He also won an ESA Appeal, scoring 27 points, and is currently in the support group. His HP report was shocking - it did not even acknowledge the new diagnosis despite the evidence being provided by a Consultant Clinical Psychologist.. He scored 0 points.

He presently has support from a Social Worker and an Intellectual Disability Nurse (one of the
issues to be addressed is his fear of leaving his flat unaccompanied).

I have both Tribunal Decisions and reasons and these seem to be useful to the case we need to argue. Can you think of any reason why I ought not submit copies of these, duly commented upom, to support the MR? There is quite a bit of other evidence also but this seems important since the situation has if anything got worse since 2017, not better. Thanks.

Hi Thistlelass

Yes, include the tribunal decisions, just making sure that you highlight in your written evidence why they are relevant to your PIP case.

Thank you. Both contain good evidence.
