Thankyou Gary. I think that's where I kept getting confused because he gets about £120 a month universal credit but I suppose that's because they take his carers allowance in to that and deduct that from universal credit

Yes you are correct, he would be entitled to claim £251.77 + £160.20 = £ 411.97 pm minus CA = £286.65 = £125.32 pm.

Remember CA is £66.15 pw = £286.65 per calander month.
