I have recently received a decision from DWP and they have placed me in the Contribution based ESA support group.I was previously ensuring that my private pension only paid a minimum amount so that it was not enough to trigger reductions in my ESA. I was thinking that if I was placed in the support group, the rules regarding pensions would not apply and so I could arrange for my pension payments to increase. But I am wondering if this is wrong and 50% of pension over £85pw is still deducted, when a person is in the support group? Thanks Helen
