PiP Consultation Report recieved & Pip interview was created by AL
Is it acceptable to have a pip assesment for over 3.30 hours?, and threatened that I would have to go back again if it couldnt be completed. ... in total i was in the building for 5 hours, I had the assessor manager also attend half way, two people were interviewing me. Is this acceptable protocal or not? The manager also laughed at my incontance problems, and made sexual reference to my incontinence aids.
I would like to put some complaint in too....what procedure do i use for this.
Ive recieved my report and there are countless wrong incorrect and lies written by the assessor, and though my condition is complex and rare i thought it was more about how the condition affects me.
I am yet to recieve my 1st decision, so do I report the whole lot of incorrect details from the beginning or wait till my 1st decision.
I have an audio recording of the meeting.....how much of this can be used as evidence.
Dla to pip origionally an indefinate grant for high rate care and mobility.
To say i thought a logical person like myself could handle this...today feels absolutly broken.
Thankyou for your thoughts and feedback.

There are no "requirements" as to how long an assessment should be but the average is just over an hour and we would consider 2 1/2 hours as excessively long.
The following explains how to make a complaint
Complaining to the PIP Assessment Providers
There is a small window for you to write to the Decision Maker but you will need to be quick.
Understand that the assessor is offering an opinion when they say that you can do the PIP activities, tackling these head-on is unlikely to be successful, you need to show that the basis of that opinion is founded on incorrect information, so try and refer to your evidence to undermine what they have said.
Also, try and stick to issues that lead to your scoring points, I often hear members referring to the assessors spelling, as an example, whilst it may show a lack of professionalism, raising it as an issue isn't going to help you get an award.
Lastly, make sure that you understand the criteria that you are being assessed against you can put the best case forward that is possible but you won't score points if you do not meet the PIP Descriptors.
I'm afraid the recording will not be reviewed by the DWP but you could include excerpts from it in your letter.
