DLA-PIP was created by loulou1930
Hi,
My claim for PIP was posted about 3 weeks ago, obviously I haven't heard anything yet.
I have just realised DWP has now stopped my payments, this couldn't have come at the worst time of the year.
Does anyone have any insight on how long the whole process is?
It means I now don't have any money for Christmas, I feel totally worried sick,
I have no money & what do they expect you too live on.
Any replies on how long you have had too wait will be really appreciated.
Thankyou.
Linda.

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

Hi Linda
If your DLA payments have come to an end, you should have been informed. Generally, but not always DLA is paid until the decision regarding PIP is made. So if you have had no notice of your money ending, then I would ring the DWP and ask them about it. If PIP is awarded it should be backdated to the end of your DLA so that you do not lose out financially.

Hi Linda. Contact the DWP and enquire why your payments have stopped. My DLA payments have continued throughout my migration from DLA - PIP and I have been given a date when my PIP payments begin to take over from DLA.
