I telephoned today to request a copy of my F2F Assessment Report to be sent to me. I waited 32 minutes on the phone thankfully it's a free phone number. The call handler I spoke to said of course he would print off a copy and put it in the post to me today however, he needed to make me aware that, the report might not show a reflection of any award that I might receive as the Case Manager might make other recommendations.
Is this normal to inform claimants of this? Has anyone else had this said to them?
I don't know whether every call handler says what you were told, but it is completely accurate. The Decision Maker is the person who decides on the final award and although they often follow what the assessor has said, it is not always the case. They occasionally don't agree and award less, but they also sometimes disagree with an assessor and award more.
