PIP success. The best Christmas present

The brown envelope arrived. I was steeling myself for the next stage of the fight. To my profound relief I have been awarded at the same rate as my DLA 'for an ongoing period'.
Your guides helped me every step of the way , as you did on previous occasions. My husband and I thank you all so much for the wonderful advice and the truly invaluable service you perform.
I feel that a great weight just floated away from me.
Just one more Q. if I may?
What is meant by the award for 'an ongoing period'?

Really terrific news, well done.

An On-Going award means no review for at least ten years and when one is done it should be a "Light Touch" assessment although I cannot tell you what this means as the DWP have not done one yet.
