PIP was created by Lesley Kerrigan
Hi, I would be very grateful for any input/experience.
I have been in receipt of PIP for approximately 6 years and have just completed my review form (How your disability affects you) as before with the help of the brilliant guides on here.
I have always had the full support of my Neurologist (who is currently unfortunately on long term absence at the moment). I have only ever had one face to face interview approx 5 years ago. I have always received enhanced care. My condition has slightly worsened in the last year and I detailed this.
I received a text message yesterday saying that I ‘may need to attend a consultation with a health professional’ before a decision is made. Perhaps this is just a standard message?
I wondered if people in the same position might be able to offer advice/experience on this whole review process please? Has it recently changed or might I be awarded the same PIP on the basis of previous evidence they hold and my detailed form?

It is just a standard message, are you in an ATOS (now known as IAS area), I think Capita send a letter with much the same information?

Our PIP Claim guide has sections on the assessment and the questions you might be asked.

About 7 weeks ago a day after I sent my pip form, I received a text from DWP to say they got my pip form & I may or may not need to attend a health professional before we make our decision. Is this text really from AS ? Thanks

It may be, the DWP don't have my mobile number so I can only go on what is said in the forum.
