Hi
I had an esa medical to assess if I would be in the support group or work related activity on 14th November I had not heard anything until friday when payment went into my bank account which seemed to be arrears. On Saturday a letter came from esa saying they have made a payment and if I require further information to contact them.
Is this usual practice or do you think another letter may follow

If the letter does not tell you what group you have been placed in, then I would contact to confirm as you may want to request a MR if placed the the work group and you believe you should be placed in the support group.
You could give ESA a ring for an update, and whilst on the phone you could also request a copy of The ESA85/ESA85A Medical Report which would have been compiled by The Assessor at your face to face or as the result of a paper based assessment and sent to The DWP ESA DM who makes the final decision.
You stated that the letter said 'if I require further information to contact them' so if you are not sure then contact them.
