Still waiting for my money was created by jayp7
Hi all and thank you for all your hard work and advice. Be I won my first ESA tribunal back in 2016. After over two years my ESA stopped and I was tricked into signing up for UC. However after mandatory reconsideration was rejected we were about to go to tribunal when I received a letter stating the decision had already been made and I was to be placed in the support group within be UC and actually ended up with more money as well as backdated pay. I applied for PIP in July 2018 and finally got to tribunal having gone through the system on December 19th. An independent judge, doctor and rep from the DWP (who was actually very nice) found in my favour and I was awarded enhanced daily living component with 13 points and standard mobility component rate with 8 points. The DWP said I would be hearing from the DWP soon and the money and backdated pay would paid within that time. I now understand that the DWP have a month with which to try an legally pick holes in the decision and try and get out of paying me. When I have rang up Ihave been told anything from a three week wait to two months (because as one advisor so eloquently put it...I'm at the back of the queue. I am frustrated and absolutely raging because after going through all this I feel that the DWP will find some way of getting out of paying me. It feels like a kick in the teeth. When I won the original ESA tribunal in 2016 to he money was in my account within days. Any advice or any similar stories would be gratefully received. Thank you.

Your ESA being paid so quickly was definitely the exception rather than the rule it normally takes the DWP 5-8 weeks to process the result of a Tribunal and that is not taking allowing for Christmas and the New Year.
I realise how frustrating this delay is but you need to be patient and let the DWP go through their process.
