PIP and what the law say you score points for

Hi,
I have received from the DWP a copy of my PIP consultation report and although I don't agree with what my assessor has said about my medical, he appears, however to have given me 9 points and at this stage, I would accept this as I understand it would give my wife cares allowance as it offers standard rate; but I wonder if the DWP would detract from this number? My hope is that this number is low and I may get over the 12 points with my written evidence, but after 7 months, I hope to get the dreaded news soon – this is torture and I need to know one way or the other.

Thank you.

The report is just a recommendation but it would be unusual for the DWP DM not to follow it.

Decisions have undoubtedly been delayed by Xmas and the New Year.
