PIP review not received yet was created by traceytracey
Hi all,
This is probably a silly question and perhaps I should just call them
My pip is due to end in May of this year. I haven't received a review form yet. Is this normal? Has anybody else received it so close to end date?
I have just been sent letter stating that my ESA cb/,sg has been renewed without any review form or face to face assessment, is it possible they will do the same with pip?
I am sure you are going to phone them, I just wondered if it was normal
Thanks all in advance

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

Hi Tracey
Your PIP will not automatically be renewed without a review being completed like the ESA was. Recently review forms have been sent out approx 6 months before the end date - which is now for you. It's up to you - you can either sit it out and wait for a form to arrive or ring and enquire when your review form is likely to arrive. (The only thing that could change what I said above is if you are over the age of 65.)

I can see from your previous posts that this PIP award was the result of a Tribunal hearing, in some cases where an appeal has been made, the claimant's award is not reassessed but renewed, in other words you will have to re-apply for PIP.
Renewal notifications should be sent out about four months before the end of the award, if you have not heard from the DWP by the end of the month then I would chase them for an update as the longer that you leave it the more likely that there will be a period where you have no payments.
A renewal will mean a PIP2 instead of the AR1 Review form.

Hi Bis & Gordon,
Thank you for your replies , I will do as you suggest Gordon and wait til the end of the month and if not received anything then give them a call.
Is there ant benefit of it being a renewal rather than a review?
Thanks

My award was from 2017 to July 2019. I have only just received a PIP Review form now so I don't know whether there have been some delays?
