Hi all,
I’ve got my PIP face to face review tomorrow (Monday 3rd) and have worked myself up into a right state.
I’m a British Army veteran serving in Afghan, 5 years ago I was diagnosed with combat related PTSD and everything that goes with it ( depression, anxiety, agoraphobia ect).
I had a face to face PIP assessment and it was a disaster scoring zero points on both points.
Luckily RBL were looking after me and we won a tribunal awarding me enhanced on both for 5 years.
That’s due to come to an end in March, my review come through and despite the fact I put no change throughout and sent of 27 separate reports form my psychiatrist saying nothing has changed and how bad it effects my daily life I’ve got the dreaded f2f.
I’ve worked myself into a right state over it telling myself that they always score People with MH problems zero.
The other worry is the award finished 11th of March and I’ve been told if they don’t make a decision by them my money will just stop TIL they do.
I’m just after abit of advice and re-assurance what to expect on the review.. is it as likely to be as bad as my first experience?
Thanks

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

Hi Roux
We have a very substantial guide on the PIP process and it will walk you through every step.
You can either download it - it is very large (93 pages)
www.benefitsandwork.co.uk/help-for-claimants/pip
or you can read each section of the same guide online in separate parts.
www.benefitsandwork.co.uk/help-for-claim...pip/pip-claims-guide
If you look towards the bottom of the guide there are sections on 'What happens at a face to face medical assessment' and 'Questions you may be asked at your medical assessment' which you may find useful.

Would there be any benefit if Roux made the assessor aware that they were awarded their last claim through tribunal?

Hi Becky
I assume he will include it in his review form. Anyone can tell the assessor, but the assessor wants to know how a claimant is on the day they see them.
