Hi Wing
It keeps them all in a job whilst we go for an MR, plus plenty of overtime. The person I talked to on the phone said that they'd made a decision about my PIP on Sunday March 1, they muttered something about someone's been doing overtime too. 7-10 for my decision letter to reach me they said, I'm sure the slowness is done purposely to put us off.
I copied the template letter from here at the beginning of my MR letter, it's very good, I can't seem to find it now. It's somewhere along the lines of Important note: Should I wish to withdraw this request I will only do say in writing .....
Although right now I'd be grateful for a call offering a lower rate, seeing as I have nothing at all at the moment. We must continue our battles.

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

Hi Wing
It is correct what you were told by your GPs admin about them not emailing to patients.

Hi BIS
I've actually had a few emails from my surgery in the past as I couldn't get through on the phone, plus they emailed our passwords when we signed up to their website so we could book appointments online. But now I come to think of it my last email didn't go through at all.

HI Bud £ BIS
Thanks for your replies.
I signed up for the GP's website which has a section where you can download you medical records but you cannot get access until you get a letter of registration from the surgery which
you have to pick it up in person with two forms of id. (They said they are trying to save money by not sending anything out by post)
I presume therefore, if I cannot pick up the letter or form, I cannot get the SARS which I would also have to pick up.
I don't think I'm going to get any of this done before the dwp look at the MR and send me the turn
down (inevitable) of PIP again.
I will appeal if this happens and send any relevant evidence from GP (SARS) with the appeal request.
Thanks for your replies.

Hi Bud & BIS
I've been waiting two weeks for a reply to the MR (I know from other posts this is not long) and I checked with Royal Mail tracker and they received it but I have not yet rung dwp to see if they have it. I will try this week (hope they've changed the music!)
My GP is 5 miles away and I need someone to drive me there or come with me in a taxi. So not so easy especially if I have to do it twice. But I have some good friends who help me out and I will ask them. I don't think the surgery will let anybody else but yourself pick up form.
