PIP Award Review was created by purple16
Forms sent to me last October 2019, filled in sent back with gp report & consultants letter. 1 month ago phoned and was told on waiting list for a home assessment as symptoms worse. I called yesterday because my award date ends 3rd April and was worried. I was put through to an assessor who said she would call me back today with her decision. She has increased my award to enhanced for care and kept my mobility award to enhanced, both for another 3 years and backdated it to October 2019. So sometimes with a little common sense and understanding they can make the right decision and with the help of this site, I can now stop stressing! Good outcome all round and now feel I have the right award for me, now! A bit of advice she gave me for my next review, is if everything stays the same, is not better or worse, just say stayed the same and keep all answers brief (I tend to give as much info as I can) and along with my gp report & consultants letter, that is enough for them to review my next claim without my detailed notes. So I will be taking her advice as I now have enhanced for both components. Don't give up, you have to jump through a few hoops before you get to the right decision. Thank you once again, next hurdle is ESA, which I have been in support group from the start, with only one assessment from long-term incapacity benefit to ESA migration, so hopefully, like last time with PIP, now increased, they will review ESA with info they already have. Fingers crossed, and legs!
