Hi thanks. It was because it seemed so strange to me I thought the wonderful B&W community should know. May be of help to others ??? If nothing else it continues to show you can just never tell what DWP will do next. Just glad she can carry on as she is without having to tackle making any further contact with DWP, as this would just be more strain on her inadequate coping ability.

Hi denby

I think it is the sign of the times, with so much going on at this moment in time.

Thanks for letting the forum know, it will give others hope who are going through a similar experience.

Surprise surprise. My sister has now had a letter awarding her PIP at Enhanced Daily Living [DLA middle rate care] and Standard Mobility [DLA lower rate mobility] from 15th April, payable from 8th May. DLA now to finish 14th April. This supersedes the weird unexpected 'your DLA continues to Sept 2021' letter. So she is very relieved. The fly in the ointment is that it is only a 24 month award, and due to her mental health issues she never manages to get a photocopy of the completed form. So when the review rears its ugly head we will be struggling to make sure of consistency with this time round. Oh well.

Hi Denby

Glad to hear of your sister's good news. She probably doesn't even want to think about it now she has the result, but if she is well enough or you are able to help her, just jot down some of the issues she has now and keep them so you have them in two years times. It won't make filling in the form again so difficult next time around.
