Face to Face & Coronavirus was created by furrypusscat
Hello everyone. Someone earlier in the week posted whether face to face assessments will still be carried out in view of the coronavirus. I have today received a text from Capita confirming my appointment at home on 20th March, so at the moment, it appears that Capita, at least will still be going ahead with the assessments.

To Furry,
Hi, just goes to show how the wheels of greed continues to turn with the likes of ATOS (whoever they are called now) Capita and Maximus. These so-called asse2ssors just can't get enough of their bonuses. Just wondering how many claimants may, could, or will get infected by these assessors either at home or in assessment centres. It's just goes to show how these companies are not interested in claimants health, otherwise they would not do the assessments full stop. So once again greedy money talks and lives do not matter a toss.

I also received a letter yesterday for a new ESA review.
I never even received the questionnaire, just the warning letter that they haven’t received it and now I have 5 days to return it.
I was on ESA Support group and my last assessment was less than 1 year ago and I was awarded Support group in assessment itself without having to appeal.
so really wasn’t expecting another one at this point.
(I was also in ESA support group prior to last assessment for years)
Also I had my PIP review just 3 months ago so iomagine how exhausting ,stressful and even unbearable it is having to go through all this again and again in such short intervals.
And now with Coronavirus situation getting worse and worse everyday, many jobs even encouraging work from home and GPs only seeing selected cases of patients face to face,It’s really bizarre why they want to review long term ESA claimants so eagerly in this situation.
Getting support letters again from GP and specialists might not even be possible for some time..

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

Hi JK2019
You need to contact DWP and inform them you have not received the questionnaire and that your condition has not changed since you last assessment, if you kept a copy of your last assessment then send it in but change the date. This is one reason why we say to people keep a copy of the completed form/questionnaire you are returning to DWP.

Hi mrfibrospondodysthmatic
It has nothing to do with greed, If any assessors have any symptons then they will self isolate themselves. From an assessors point of view, whenever they see a claimant, especially in a claimants own home then they have the worry that they may become infected even with taking precautions.
There is a shortage of assessors and with the coronavirus outbreak the numbers may be reduced even more which has a knock effect especially with new claimants, existing claimants their benefits can carry on.

Fully agree with your last post Gary. Well I hope my assessment will go ahead next Friday and not cancelled. I would like to get it over and done with now my turn has come and hope I get an honest assessor, few and far between I know.
