The Universal Credit standard allowance is to be increased by £1,000 a year for the next 12 months, Chancellor Rishi Sunak said, while the working tax credit basic element will be boosted by the same amount
Will other benefit receive this increase. I’m thinking particularly of those on PIP / DLA and other benefits aimed at the disabled. I’m thinking also of those on pension credit
All the other benefits were noticeable by the absence from the announcement but it is clear from the last week that the Government has been reacting rather than panning any of the changes that they have been making so it is possible that further updates will be made, these may affect income replacement benefits such as ESA, Income Support and Pension Credit but I would be very surprised if PIP and DLA are include.
So, it's watch this space but I really would not hold your breath.
