Hi has anyone received a telephone assessment (f2f cancelled last week) that can tell me what it is like? I suffer severe anxiety and I am very tearful I can't see how I could get through the phone call or how they will understand me, my dad will be with me and will probably have to answer on my behalf. Plus can a phone assessment be a true reflection on your disabilities when they very much rely on informal observations at s f2f...my anxiety is through the roof at the thought of it.

We have had a couple reported but I think that as time goes on the likelihood you will receive one will reduce, we have to assume that assessors are having to self-isolate and even that they will contract the virus meaning that there are none to do the assessments.

Thanks Gordon, although I got a letter with a date and time for a phone assessment next week and I'm so stressed. Plus I've been isolating my family and myself as I am a brittle asthmatic and my dad hasn't been in my house for fear he world bring the virus in.
The isolating will have to stop for the phone call and I'm so stressed both about it and contracting the virus as I wouldn't stand a chance.
Any reassurance would be greatly appreciated from anyone.

I have this evening been reading some emails sent to Welfare Rights workers by the DWP saying that all assessment and reassessment processes are suspended, so I no longer expect you to be contacted even in regard to a telephone assessment.

I have had one today and what a nightmare 1 1/2 hours
And the health care person was asking some pretty stupid questions,” how far can you walk”
I asked if she had read the form and 3 other pieces of evidence I sent stating I could walk less than 20 meters? She she hadn’t seen the evidence NO I HAVENT WAS THE REPLY it’s not on the system
I phoned capita and asked if it was on the system , the capita agent on the phone said I’ll ring the health care professional to ask her, and she’d said the health care professionals had read them
I specifically asked her to confirm if she had read the evidence sent in and told he what the doctors names were”

Hi Gordon, just incase anyone is enquiring about telephone assessments, Capita confirmed this morning via a phone call that my telephone assessment (review) is still going ahead as scheduled later this week.
I feel very down and out about this as it's breaching my "self isolation" as I could not go through it alone so my father who also falls into the vulnerable category must assist me and come into my home. I also feel a phone assessment would not highlight my health issues.
Does anyone that has had a recent one, can confirm if they go through all activities or just ask some further information...I am so worried I will loose points for not being able to answer due to my anxiety. Any help appreciated
