Giving up DLA was created by Roger Van steeden
On the 8th of April I relinquished my Disability Living Allowance as I was constantly anxious on whether or not I would get accepted for PIP and I have bad arthritis plus coronary heart disease instead of waiting for the government to decide I took back control myself

Hi Roger
Everyone has to do what feels is right for them. You are always free to apply for PIP anytime in the future if you wish.

I completely understand your reason Roger. Although I had to give up driving due to my condition and therefore handed my motability car back - knowing that DWP cannot take it away just because they can has lessened life's worries. I am managing perfectly well with my free bus pass and taxis and assistance from social care. I would encourage anyone with a motability car to have a back up plan, just in case. At the same time though, don't force yourself to struggle and make your condition worse.
