hi gordon/gary i have done a check on gov.co.uk and it is showing my wife has paid in 40 years of full contribution and she can not improve her forecast any more than the £175.20 per week forecast , and on checking my forecast it says i have 39 years full contribution giving me £167.63 but i can increase mine to £168.60 if i contribute another year before 2029, would you think my wife coming of carers allowance and me trying to claim a sdp like she has would be beneficial or are there other benefits to carers allowance i should consider first, many thanks bb.
I cannot think of any other beneficial benefits apart from what Gordon has already stated, I personally would use an online benefit checker to check your benefit entitlement.
I would do two calculations; one with CA and the other without. make sure you save your initial input so that you do not have to keep re-entering your personal details.
You can see what you might receive by putting your information into one of the online benefit calculators.
