Hi I am currently on ESA having been off work for 14months, I have now been given Ill Health retiral Tier 1. Before Covid happened I was to have a home visit for an assessment to get into the support group but for obvious reasons that had to be cancelled. I have tried to phone DWP twice and the second time I was told they would send out forms for me to complete I am still waiting that was 2 months ago. My ESA is due to run out in September and I am panicking already as I am no way fit to partake in employment . I don't know what to do now? any advice would be greatly appreciated.
You need to chase the DWP about the form, as a new claim, it should have been sent out even though other processes are suspended.
You mention you have been retired due to ill health if this involves a pension then you must notify the DWP of this as it can affect the ESA that you receive.
