Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

Hi Archie64
We can't actually say for sure. Those that were covered by the first government announcement whose PIP awards were going to finish within three months - (from approximately 24th March) were to be given 6 months extensions. You don't fall into that category - as yours is due in October. As your letter doesn't actually say, I would ring and check and see if you can find out.

I got the same letter yesterday. My award is due to end in October and I hadn't been sent a renewal form. The letter said due to the impact of Coronavirus my award is currently automatically extended to 21/4/21, but if the situation their end changes in the meantime they'll be in touch.
On a related note, I'm in ESA SG. My last ESA50 went back in March and they confirmed receipt late April. Am I right in thinking that whatever happens they can't knock me out of the SG without a face-to-face first?

Hi pollenpath.
For your ESA you could have a telephone assessment or a paper-based decision or they could wait until restrictions are lifted and do a face to face. I'm afraid this is another case of wait and see or you could ring and enquire about the status of your claim.
