hi all. I am 65 years old and still on 'DLA'. when I reach age 66, will I still be able to apply for 'pip' at that time (6 months time).??. I know they are behind with transferring 'DLA' to 'pip' but I don't want to lose my DLA if they say I'm too old?.any help would be appreciated.
The DLA to PIP Transfer legislation suspends the restriction on claimants making a new claim for PIP once they reach 65 or State Retirement Age, whichever is the older, so there will be no problem with you claiming PIP once you are invited.

I was 68 when I transferred DLA/PIP, successfully. It’s important you know the criteria for PIP is different than DLA. The information on this website and the moderators are a great help. I read the info 4 times before I could take it all in, but it’s so worth it. DWP will get round to you eventually, glad I waited till they approached me.
