Hi just to let everyone know I am having a phone assessment on Monday to decide if I get ESA and at what level. Has anyone got any tips on what to say how to say it?. I don't see how they can determine this by phone. I almost feel I should be preparing for appeal.

Hi Tony
Have a look at our ESA guide, it has recently been up dated 23rd April 2020, look at page 125 Questions you are likely to be asked at your assessment, there is also a section on What Happens During A Telephone Assessment? page 127.
You need to write down in bullet points about your condition and how it affects you, so that you do not forget, hind sight is a wonderful thing, also have a drink close by just in case you get a dry throat.

Hi supposed to of had phone assessment at eleven today. Still waiting! What am I supposed to do if they don't call today?

If they have not called when you read this message - then you need to get onto them and query what has happened. You want to make sure they're not trying to say you weren't available.

Start with the Assessment Provider and then the DWP, even if you are unable to contact the AP, ring the DWP.
