as i said earlier had to carry on, she said he didnt have a consultant and no further information he gave 6 letters spanning from 2016 to 2019 from his consultant explaing scans and not being able to do any more for him and he could only walk 30 metres but she never agnoliged any of this, she kept saying because he was my carer he must be able to walk 400 metres this is a impossability,he wishes he is on the sronges dyhdrocodine and stronges gabapentin you can take and even that only masks the pain .aslo when it came to mental health because he coulnt go to mental health services after 2014 because i a couldnt go with him and he never goes out alone .he tried to explain this but she didnt metion any part of this at assesment he told her he was on indefinet dla for menal health ,and my son had to support him through the whole assesment .

she said he was on medication and hadnt been hospitalised for this so he was ok on his meds ,my son explained his medication had been changed to higher doses a few times but she never put any of this in her report,he also explained after he got slashed in his neck and face his axiety was so affected and was waiting fo apt from mental health services and pain management and pysio she totally blanked all this and extra information he submitted ,he now has put a official complaint in to capita and they are investigating this and will get back to us ,he just sent more information from hospital and why he dissagreed with the discision to mr do you think there is any hope for the mr to change things.

I appreciate you are having problems with typing but you have made it very difficult to read your post by spreading it across multiple topics, next time compose your post on your computer, in Notepad for example; then you can copy/paste it into a message for the forum.

Your MR needs to concentrate on the distance that he can walk, it is important that you highlight the errros in the report for things like the consultants report and his medication but the Descriptor only looks at the distance so you need to explain what he can walk and just as importantly, what he cannot.

Be careful of mentioning walking times, resting times are OK, most people underestimate how fast they walk and it is easy to undermine what you are saying in your MR, as an example; a healthy person will walk 150-180 metres in two minutes.

If there are things that he does that contradict his walking, for example; going shopping, then you need to explain how he managers. Also, you cannot ignore his being a carer for you, you need to be able to explain how he manages this but is still limited his self.

i have a problem typeing and spelling sorry ,thankfully my son put in the complaint and what he wrote made sence.also he did the mr as he went with him to the medical where he clearly stated on his consultant letters that with his condition he can only manage to walk 30 meters even in pain,he has stong arms and still able to bath me and do the cooking useing the perching stool ,he is struggling to look after me and there will come a time where he cant but that shouldnt go against his claim because walking ability, when it clearly stated on his letters and forms that his condition is limiting him and he may need a walker soon.

Dear Fuzzy Bob, I just want to offer you some personal encouragement. Please don't feel you have to apologise for struggling to spell or to type.
I used to work as a teaching assistant. I noticed that people have either got a grip on spelling by the age of 7 or 8, even though they may have a lot more words to learn, or not got it, and will always struggle. You cannot be blamed for what has happened to you in your life at such a young age.
So I feel you should hold your head up high and be proud you are supporting your husband who cares for you. Personally I didn't have any trouble understanding what you put in this topic so I hope that cheers you up.
I have a friend who does a lot of work on PIP claims and he says they always try it on with people. So keep up your fight, remember three quarters of people who appeal WIN!
Kind regards,
Denby
