Sasha

You need to have a look at our PIP Claim guide on the following link

www.benefitsandwork.co.uk/help-for-claimants/pip

It's well laid out to so you should be able to decide what sections you need to read,

Hi Sasha

We have a very substantial guide on the PIP process and it will walk you through every step.

It is very large (107 pages)

Thanks. I have downloaded it in the past and read bits of it but it's just too much for me to read on my own with the state of my MH.
I actually ended up not needing it at this point. My doctor just basically needed to send more medical evidence and evidence why I'm not fit to attend the medical.
That's all been done now so I'm hoping that's enough to save me from having to go through any more torture.

Hi, firstly my good wishes for success in your claim. I was very interested to note you had been told that medical evidence over 3 months old wasn't 'good enough' for a paper based assessment. This totally chimes with my comment on another thread that many people struggle to convince IAS etc and DWP of their genuine problems because clinics who can't help further have discharged them. There seems to me to be an element of hypocrisy on DWP's part here, as the award is supposed to be based on you limitations not your diagnoses. Yet they place so much weight on those diagnoses. It can be quite hard to get doctors to write not just what you've got but how it affects your DL and Mob, and to do so again year after year on short awards often reviewed.

Hiya.
Thank you and thanks for your response. I should probably read everyone else's post but the more I read the more I'm sick to my stomach at the level of difficulty this process is putting people in.
It's definitely a broken system and hasn't been designed from a ethical stand point. It doesn't have claiments safety or care in mind and they don't realise or want to let in/understand the hurt they are causing to people.
I can only imagine they have been brought up in the same way/in the same conditions and have grown a very hard heart towards their own pain.
For me it's the gaslighting and constant confusion that's absolutely shattered my self-esteem, and made me lose any sense of who I am that I did have, almost undetectable to me.
I haven't been able to grow/make any progress or live any type of settled life as I'm constantly being grown down and kept on edge.
It is a human rights issue, I just don't have the strength to fight.
I hope you're okay and wish you all the best in your own claim.
