Telephone consul was created by JeBa
I have received an appointment for a PIP telephone consultation. This letter and its accompanying CD, states this is because they require additional information. Sounds reasonable; except for the following facts: The DWP arranged for a local JC worker to assist with form completion because I couldn’t secure CAB assistance.
All this JC employee was required to do was copy the information into the forms respective descriptor spaces. He avoided this stating he would attach said documents for copying to the PIP form (expressing how I had made his life easy). All sounds OK. However, the PIP form already had 40 continuously numbered A4 sides of additional descriptor information & 36 sides of supporting medical data attached (Cross referenced). He gathered up the paperwork and left, at which point I realised he had not even sought the final declaration signature. Luckily, he was outside the property and the PIP form was signed. He left stating he would send the paperwork, over 178 sides in all, by post to the DWP. Fine, however, I had been told by the DWP offices prior to the visit that this worker would scan and send the document to the DWP/its agency. I called the DWP to confirm this remained the case. They confirmed it was, so I contacted the JC employee to confirm this fact. He phoned and confirmed he’d scanned the form and would be returning the forms back to me. Approximately, a week later I received all my documents back through the post with a Royal mail sticker stating the envelope had been sent to me without being secured (this was evident from the envelope sticky side not having been touched) and is a clear breach of my personal sensitive data. Fast forward to June 20, and I receive notification of a consultation that leads me to suspect this JC employee may not have sent the entirety of 178 sides to the DWP. Of course, I could be wrong, but my written statements provided in detail, how each activity was affected by my conditions and yet the assessment centre states it needs to know how my conditions affects me.
My first instinct is to contact either DWP or assessment centre to confirm the volume of scanned data they have received.
Next, issue is that the consultation letter provides for the attendance of support person during the consultation however NHS letter confirms that I continue to shield until 1 August 20 during Covid-19. Therefore, I cannot invite a person to be present at the current June telephone consultation. I have no landline.
An old associate, who I have next to no contact with, keeps reaching out on or around the time of any DWP assessment notice. Most recently, this person turned up unannounced at my door in April 19 just days after the ESA50 forms arrival and has now made contact in June 20, on the exact day the PIP consultation notice arrived. This person is intrusive in their questioning of my health, but is not supportive in anyway so it is clearly not out of concern. They also ask me to undertake actions I clearly physically struggle with. I find it strange that someone who lacks empathy intrudes into a large number of disabled persons lives she occasionally visits, none of whom have I ever been introduced to. She also appears to have an unobvious source of income.

I'm afraid, even if all 178 sides of paper were scanned it does not mean that you can avoid an assessment if one has been required, you can contact the Assessment Provider to see what additional information that you can provide that would allow then to do a Paper Based Review.
The AP should be able to do a three way telephone conversation, you will need to contact then with the information for your support worker if you have one.
I'm afraid I cannot offer any comment on the person who turned up at your door, it's not clear from your post whether they a health care professional or something else but either way, only you can decide whether to maintain the contact.
