Good Morning
I hope someone can help me, i presently working through an agency, i work at the main hospital in my area,i work 3 days per week, I also care form my disabled daughter, i get carers allowance every now and then as my wage goes over the entitlement threshold, i have now started to care for my mother who has Alzeihmeirs, my husband who is 72 recieves a pension each month of £900 pm. I have fybromyalgia, osteoarthritis, and under active thyroid, i am really really struggling with constant pain, fatigue, getting up in the mornings in such and effort. I was going to see what beneits/help i could apply for in my own right without my husbands pension is taken into account. I tryed for PIP, failed, appealed failed. Any advice would be fantastic, Please help, i don't know how ong i can carry on, but if i don't work my bills don't get paid etc

Hi SB

Welcome to the forum, you might want to have a look at the following FAQ which explains where everything is

Welcome to Benefits and Work

In case you are not aware, your real name appears to be showing in the forum, if you want to change this then follow the instructions in the following FAQ

My full name is showing, how can I stop it?

We would normally advise you to seek help from a welfare rights worker where you can give all your details such as date of birth, but due to the lockdown most advice centres are operating a limited service. You can check by putting your information into one of the online benefit calculators. We do have some excellent guides to help you with your claims in our 'Members Only Guides' section.

Even if you can apply for UC you might also want to have a look at whether you can claim New Style ESA, you will need to have at least 50 weeks of NI Contributions in the two Tax Years 2017-18 and 2018-19.

In both cases you will need a Fit Note fro your GP.

Our ESA/UC Claim guide explains the criteria you will need to meet for an award.

If your limitations have existed for three months then you may be able to claim PIP

Our PIP Claim guide explains the criteria

If you have any specific questions then please reply to this post and we will do our best to help.
