Try an internet search for "welfare advice" with your postcode, town or county but you may struggle to get face to face advice.

Hi Rob A

Due to Covid-19 everything is upside down, we do not know what area you live in, but as Gordon suggested try an internet search for your area. Your local Citizens Advice Centre is a great place to start but there are also some excellent independent Advice Centres and Welfare Rights Centres around the region including Law Centres that maybe able to help you.

Usually you would need to contact them to book at appointment although some did operate a drop in session prior to Covid-19.

We do not do Advocacy work on this forum, we can help you with any questions you may have, and we do have lots of useful guides, which are well written. Members on the forum can give you feedback to any questions you post through their personal experience.

Hi Rob A

I did a quick search on the internet and came across 'help with benefits in Scotland' www.mygov.scot/benefits-support/

Halfway down the page there is a section called 'Getting local benefits advice' just below it there are a few contact details from various agencies such as 'Age Scotland' and 'Citizens Advice Scotland'
