Help Needed -- DWP Playing Games was created by spamfritter1
I do hope that someone can guide me in the right direction.
In January this year i had an emergency operation to remove my left kidney and an all encompassing tumor, which had travelled to other parts.
This was carried out privately overseas, and on our return to the UK in March i submitted a claim for U.C. , which was granted (basic couple allowance) this was in April.
Since then i have been told month on month that i would be referred to a Health and Disability Interview, This eventually happened in September by telephone, i have now received a further letter saying they want a face to face interview, but with no further reason, but they did state that it would not be possible in the foreseeable future to make this appointment.
I was placed under government shielding, have been to a UK Urology clinic for follow up CT scan and assessment, all of which has been forwarded, along with the overseas information where the operation took place.
The DWP wont even mention which benefit they are trying not to pay.
I am now suffering mentally and physically from the extra stress of this.
Can anyone help with how to make this nightmare go away.
Kind responses appreciated.
What can i do to make
How should i press

Welcome to the forum, you might want to have a look at the following FAQ which explains where everything is

In case you are not aware, your real name appears to be showing in the forum, if you want to change this then follow the instructions in the following FAQ

My full name is showing, how can I stop it?

Your options, if Maximus is requiring a face to face assessment are limited, given the current situation it is very unlikely that face to face assessments will restart this year.

So, I think you have two options;

- You need to provide sufficient information for a Paper Based Review to be possible. So far you have provided medical evidence but a Decision will only be made based on your meeting the UC Limted Capability for Work criteria and you have not mentioned how you do this.

- Your other alternative is based on your having received Chemotherapy or Radiotherapy and that you are still suffering from the effects of this, you will need your GP to provide written confirmation of this.

Your MP may be of assistance in convincing Maximus that they can do a PBR but they cannot require them to do so.

Have you looked at our UC/ESA Claim guide?

The criteria is different from UC but have you looked at claiming PIP, our PIP Claim guide explains what you will be assessed against.
