I have recently been corresponding with a minister in the Scottish gov who has told me that all DLA claimants living in Scotland will no longer be transferred to PIP as the Scottish gov have come to an agreement with the DWP to stop managed migration of DLA claimants in Scotland to PIP. Instead, we will have managed transfer to the new Scottish Adult Disability Payment which goes live in Summer of 2022. What a relief. If you read this link and go to the question by Mark Griffin MSP at the bottom of page 8 you can read this for yourself. www.parliament.scot/S5ChamberOffice/WA20190911.pdf

Wonderful news for us in Scotland still on DLA.

Certainly, my experience with IAS (ATOS) in Scotland is by any measure brilliant, compared to the ghastly people in Stockton. I actually had a pleasant conversation (!) and had a laugh (!!!) with each of the respondents when I called there, and will only call them in future. Well, until 2022 >____>; The assessor I had recently was Scottish, and had some actual knowledge (!) of at least some of my conditions :D Seems like the system wasn't totally broken there, anyway. But it's just a shame that we can't vote SNP to take charge of the UK parliament. They get it.

Thanks for the info Shirley, I live in Scotland and been through the mill transferring from DLA to PIP and further to a long term award due to pensionable age. I do wonder if I will have to go through it all over again to transfer to the new Scottish system ? I found the IAS Glasgow to be just as wrong minded as any others reported on the forum regardless of location. Just when I’d found peace it may be another trauma. Whatever is said by the powers that be, it will still be administered by the same HPs with the same attitudes.

Update on devolved benefits

I am in the middle of the process here in Scotland.
I am an appointee for my husband who has multiple disabilities due to a brain haemorrhage 8 years ago. He has never had to go to an assessment and was in the support group when his Esa came through.
The 'invitation ' arrived a few days before the first lockdown. I had not yet phoned to get the PIP form but when I did the following week I was informed it was on hold. In July I got a letter to tell me it was restarting. 2 weeks later I got the invitation letter again. I waited till the last few days to get the forms and also then received a letter from them offering an extension,
I had to also submit proof of his identity to them??????
After I sent the application in, I heard nothing until last week when I received a call from a lady from IAS Glasgow.Said she was a nurse, she was polite, but said it was not an assessment when I asked . Worryingly she stated that they only look at the last 3 months??? She did not appear to have read the documents thoroughly, but I was caught at a bad time and forgot to ask what paperwork she had there. she had.!I then received another call from her the following day with more questions. . So they are carrying on for sure. I remember seeing on tv about the move to Scottish benefits being put on hold.
Sorry to burst your bubble.
