PIP Extended letter was created by anees292
Hello
I have just been award PIP (both enhanced) in December 2020 for five years till October 2024.
Today I a surprising letter and say we have extended your PIP award until 29 July 2025, nearly nine month extra. Didn't understand this letter as I have already nearly 4 years then why they extended now? Hope to get any idea or may some reason for this letter. Thanks

Hi Anees
You are my second query today with this pleasant surprise from DWP.
They were told it is due to the backlog because of Covid-19. You have an extra 9 months peace and quiet before going through the stress again. Enjoy
