A family friend failed to attend pip assessment today (a telephone assessment) as has memory problems due to her illness and got the date mixed up but only just realised. What is the process for her now, will her pip be stopped with immediate effect? Will she receive a letter etc
She needs to get onto the DWP straight away and explain what happened and ask what happens next. Sometimes papers get sent back immediately from the assessment services and the DWP decide whether they will get a second opportunity. Tell her not to delay making that call. It should be done today.
