Welcome to Benefits and Work Unfortunately, it is really your call as to what you should do about triggering a new claim. There is a possible downside to doing so, in that you could potentially lose your current award, but if you succeed you will get the new higher payment sooner. If your condition is on a downward curve, if you wait another few months, you might have stronger evidence to prove the additional help you need with daily living and mobility?
Taking the above into consideration, have a look at our PIP guide and consider how a reasonably sceptic assessor might score you, and then decide.
PIP resources If you decide that you are not going to trigger a new claim by reporting a ‘change of circumstances’, then you can use the next few months to draft your renewal application and start collecting evidence.
