My son's PIP phone assessment with Capita was due to take place at 10.30 today. Following your guidance I phoned them from the landline at 10.40, then 10.50. Was told on first call that the health assessor was probably running late, and to wait; but on the second that the health assessor was having serious 'IT problems' and couldn't go ahead. Very, very disappointing for my son who has severe anxiety, a tic disorder, OCD and ASD. But to give them their due the guy on the 10.50 call did all in his power to re-book there and then, by speaking to his manager. Told us this wasn't possible, but that we should phone on Friday to see if the assessment has 'bookable status' and if so we can book over the phone, and have it confirmed by letter.
Sorry to hear of your son's experience. Unfortunately, it does happen from time to time and it's horribly stressful. I have never understood why it is the claimant who has to ring again to rebook - it was their problem and they should sort it! Hope you get it sorted.
