I have got my ESA phone assessment today after waiting nearly 17 months for this!! Will I get my payments backdated when they received my UC50 form in November 2019? I have been getting the normal Universal Credit of £409 per month. Or am I kidding myself that they would backdate that far.

Hi John,

Your claim will be back dated either to when you submitted your UC50 or three months after you first submitted medical evidence of your inability to work – which ever came last.
