LEAP review was created by diane.mum
Hi everyone

Could someone please suggest the best approach when contacting DWP about a possible LEAP review of an existing PIP award.
My granddaughter has the enhanced rate of the care component but no mobility at present. In the last renewal she was awarded 4 points in relation to her problems with routes.
I did expect the DWP to look at her claim again after the recent changes but this does not appear to have happened?

I am a bit unsure what should be asked for and will the request have an impact on her care component.

Thank you

Hi diane.mum

Welcome to the forum, you might want to have a look at the following FAQ which explains where everything is.

Welcome to Benefits and Work .

We have had a number of members who have contacted DWP to enquire about Leap review only to be sent a review form, it could be a scare tactic used by DWP to stop claimants making an enquiry.

The review should be automatic, I know someone who received a review letter even though they were awarded enhanced mobility.

Benefits and works have today produced a urgent newsletter;
www.benefitsandwork.co.uk/news/4403-23-june-2021-update informing that the LEAP Review May Be Unlawful Leading Barrister Tells Benefits and works and has asked for members help.
