H8 CCC,
Thanks for your reply, nice to read.
Well we all need each other in this escape from the harsh reality of the wrongful way claimants are treated.
The worse thing about it is, the DWP conveniently cop out and pass the dirty work on to the assessment providers. That way they feel less responsible for some of the stories you read.
To be fair, approached directly and not via the nasty third party cheats (target driven) they are more sympathetic if you have been 'wronged'.
Let the fight go on!
Phrank.

my friend got her mr letter and still no award in the mr letter it just states that becauise she sees her doctor she shows motivation theres nothing wrong with her mental health and also they keep refering back to a previous assessment she had which was also a no award and she just gave up on that claim until she re applied this time. it also states that her alligations that hcp was supplying misleading informaton are not true because the hcp and service provider are a very professional body and would have nothing to gain by supplying misleading information (haha). there is no mention of the letter that her doctor provided stating her health conditions and how these illnesses affect her day to day living they have completely ignored this when they made her mr decision. i have told her to go dowbn to cab and make a appeal.

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

Hi Tango
I'm sorry that your friend has to go through this. Hopefully, she can get help from the CAB. She certainly needs to highlight the contradictions in the report. As for the remark about seeing the doctor - words fail me. It's absolute rubbish and I don't know how they justify that remark when many people with mental health conditions have been denied PIP because they don't have any input from their GP or other professionals!
They should also point out in their appeal that no doctor would see a patient every month without very good reason particularly in the current circumstances where face to face appointments are restricted.

Hi Tango,
I am also reading this shaking my head in despair. If only there was consistency. I have read many reports saying 'mild condition as doesn't see doctor.' However, it seems now that 'does see doctor often' still doesn't create points! No one can win here! Very frustrating!
BIS is very right, it is so difficult to get any sort of GP appointment these days that if the GP wants these monthly, then this clearly indicates a major problem!
I think it is important to make a complaint about the assessor. I appreciate that this probably the last thing anyone wants to do, but unless people do complain, the same old, same old stupidity will prevail.
There was a recent Upper Tribunal case that stated where an assessor has been brought into disrepute, (this was via a Channel 4 documentary) his subsequent reports should not be relied on.
Make more complaints, this is the only way forward. Also, if you do need to go to a tribunal it will be the first question they ask!
Good luck!

I cannot believe what reply they gave for denying them PIP?
I thought I'd heard all their excuses to deny claimants, this is total persecution at its finest.
If this was me I would contact the press and whoever will listen a show this corrupt lot up.
Totally disgusting move by these institutions.
Don't let em get away with it.
