PIP review form typed out electronically

Hi to all,

I was just wondering how a DWP or an assessor would view my having completed the PIP review form via computer , not hand written on their form.

Reason for not hand writing is having severe joint pain in both wrists, hands, fingers. Hence writing would be a scribble.

Would this seem contradictive to the DWP or assessor, of me having used a keyboard and mouse to complete this task?

Given the fact I state having difficulties for example with preparing and cooking a meal. ie chopping up vegetables and cutting up of meats ?

1 - Should the I write a short statement or paragraph saying... I could not complete the form by hand due to my conditions, therefore it was done using a computer - mouse - keyboard, having countless rest breaks ?

Or

2 - I could not complete the form by hand due to the joint pain in hands wrists fingers so therefore it was done using a computer - mouse - keyboard, having countless rest breaks.
Therefore I had help from family members or a friend in order to complete the form?

3 - Just don't bother writing a statement at all and hope for the best.

Regards.

Hi mrfibrospondodysthmatic

Personally I wouldn't raise the issue until they do. Loads of people send in typed information. (I always do for other people). Some assessors asks if you had help filling in the form and if you did you say yes and leave it at that. If you put it in in the first place you open up an opportunity which may not have been obvious for them to discuss it. (Just my view - others may disagree).

I phoned them the other day to ask if they could email me a form that I could fill in in Word, print out, then post back to them, but they said no! They did say it would be ok for me to type my answers and attach them to the form (just as well because nobody could read my handwriting!).

When I completed my original PIP application 4 years ago I typed my answers, physically cut them up and cellotaped them into the appropriate place on the form. This time, I think I'll just send them all as one printout attached to my form.

Mrfibro.

Keep it simple you had help typing it all up, my friend had done mine and added his name stating that he filled them in... we only ever type them up for ESA, or PIP.

Good luck.

I was formely known as (GoingOffMyHeadWithThisGovernment) Won PIP November 2017 ongoing award HR both. Now kept and got my ESA Support group but took a while.
