For once I have praise for a DWP decision maker. I received a review form (even though award had been extended due to covid) it was dated 15 May. Using your help guide I completed and returned it. I have a new diagnosis, I included the report from my neurologist.I decided to call DWP yesterday just to see if anything had happened , (having previously last week been told my form had been looked at and I needed to have an assesement ) . The contact centre agent had a look and said he wanted to speak to a DM. After a few mins a DM came on to the phone. He said that yes it had been looked at and that it was indeed in a que to be sent to the Health assesement provider he suggested I call the independent assesement providers in a couple weeks. I thanked him and mentioned how stressful this was. An hour later he called me back to say he had looked at my claim and had overridden the previous DM and had awarded me high care, previously standard, and standard mobility which I’m on. I am so relieved There are caring people working for the DWP who actually see us as people and not just as tick box exercises.
