ESA review was created by craig41
In 2018 the tribunal judge continued my award for ESA in the support group, and stated that he recommended that i was not reviewed for another 3yrs.Thatt period is now up and although I have not received any forms yet from the DWP for me to complete I am wondering if there is a delay due to the pandemic.I have heard that in some cases the filling out of the review forms has now been taken over by a phone assesment. If this is so surely the call wouldn't be out of the blue ...or would it?

Hello Criag,

I would not expect the call to come out of the blue, and if it does, you have every right to say that it is not a convenient time to speak to them and arrange a specific appointment.

ESA is actually an indefinite award, so it is possible that even without covid your review might not have happened after 3 years. With the delays that covid has caused it is even harder to predict.

But to your question - let me repeat, if they ring you up out of the blue, explain that it is not a good time to take the call, and arrange an appointment with them.
