Two PIP payments in a week?! was created by jpg2502
Hoping someone may be able to shed some light. Had the usual review forms through a couple of months ago for PIP, sent them back in August.
I got my usual PIP payment last Friday of £240. (Standard rate daily living)
However it looks like theres another one going in tomorrow for £182. This has caused me some anxiety as I do not know what it's for?!

Hi jpg2502

It looks like good news you may have been either awarded some mobility or you DL has been increased.

The only way of knowing is to contact DWP first thing in the morning and ask, we do hear from members of payments arriving in their bank accounts and a few weeks later paperwork arriving which explains what the payment is for.

Let us know what you find out.

Thanks. I did wonder if it was good news as I couldn't really see any other reason for recieving an extra payment, but didn't want to get my hopes up knowing what the systems like!

I should have been awarded Mobility standard last time round but did not have the strength to contest it, so would welcome it being awarded this time..

Hi jpg2502

I did try and work out what it may be but the amount you stated £45.50 pw did not fit anything or a combination, which was why I said contact DWP to get the answer.

I don't want to put the spanner in the works, but it could be a last payment for what the DWP owe you especially if you was denied PIP after your review? Hope it wasn't for that reason.

The only way to be sure is what Gary has said contact the DWP ASAP.

I was formely known as (GoingOffMyHeadWithThisGovernment) Won PIP November 2017 ongoing award HR both. Now kept and got my ESA Support group but took a while.

That was my initial thought! BUT PIP is paid in arrears, so surely having been paid last week in full (my usual payment) then I would not be owed anything?
Also I have not had any assessment or contact from them at all since returning the forms, surely claims are stopped only after having had an assessment?

I will contact them if I do not receive a letter by tomorrow.
