You can certainly claim for it, but the issue for the DWP will be, what impact the difficulties you have which led to an enhanced PIP award have on your ability to care for someone else. There are PIP claimants who have been awarded PIP and Carer's allowance and others have either been refused or had their PIP taken away once their carer's allowance kicked in.
