Where’s My Assessor’s Report PIP?

Where’s My Assessor’s Report PIP? was created by Mykonos
I didn’t realise that the written PIP assessor’s report was available 48 hours after the review call, and could be requested. However, when I received the rejection of my claim I sent the appeal for an PIP MR back, clearly stating I wanted a copy of the assessor’s notes. Some weeks have passed and I still have not got a copy of the Assessor’s notes. Is anyone else experiencing these delay tactics? I realise now that the criteria for my application for the MR were seriously limited without the Assessor’s “findings”.

Hi Mykonos

We understand from the DW that there are some delays in their post.

I would contact them first thing in the morning and ask for a copy of your assessors report called a PA4. PIP helpline: 0800 121 4433.

You are correct, you can ask for a copy of the report 48 hrs after your assessment or if you received a text message from DWP informing you they have received your assessment report.

WCA assessments are different, you can only request a copy (UC/ESA 85 report) once a decision has been made.

Hi Mykonos,

I've always phoned to ask for the assessor's report. In my experience it seems the call handler can action it themselves, I guess by clicking on something on their screen.

I've only had a problem a couple of times when the call handler has tried to tell me I can't request one. However, once I've been firm and told them that it's my right, they've buckled each time and sent me the report.

My advice is; don't take no for an answer - although I doubt you will have a problem.

Regards,

Phrank.
