PIP re paper based assessments was created by Asbo
My GP will support me for a paper assessment. Last time I had a bad experience with an assessor coming to my home and she lied. Do you think I should mention that I was betrayed by the last assessor as I have a problem with trusting even more now. Basically my last assessor got my trust but then betrayed me and ignored my GPs evidence and I got my award back on MR and compensation from ICE. I am going to say I can’t cope with strangers coming into my home. I was going to mention that it’s even worse since Covid but not sure how much to mention Covid and also in relation to other questions. Many thanks

Hi Asbo

Only a very few face to face assessments are being conducted and these aren't happening in people's homes. I would make a specific request for a paper-based assessment and it is great that you have your GP's support. If they refuse and want to do a telephone assessment you can appeal and if they still insist you can appeal a second time. It would be bizarre if they refused a third time - though I suppose it is possible. However, let's hope it doesn't get that far and they agree on a paper-based assessment in the first place.

Many thanks. I suppose I’m worried that by the time they process mine that they might have gone back to F2F but reassuring to know I am able to appeal
