Hi everyone
My ESA review date was May 2020. When I phoned them early June 2020 they told me that my review date had been moved back two years to May 2022 because of Covid.
Does anyone know whether or not they are back running on time or if there are further delays in the system?

Hi Hollyharvey
There is still a backlog,
To cover yourself, I would contact DWP to see if your review date is May 22.

Hi one and all, there's no magic wand to wave here.
If this is any consolation I had the same thing in August 2020 and was added two extra years til August 2022.
But I did did phone the DWP at the time I thought it was due and a very nice "makes a change" lady said 2022, then ask me for a telephone number which I kindly declined to give them out to anyone. She accepted that and we hanged up, so far not had any forms through.
Touch wood. I say this all the time never give the DWP a phone number come what may, I won't ever do a telephone assessment ever, or a face to face, they have more than enough evidence and people to contact and so far they've left me alone, be fun when UC starts.
Hope this helps

I just phoned and asked them for my review date and it is still showing as 21st May 2022. She said I should expect the form to complete about 2 months in advance.
If I haven't received them by the 1st week in June I will phone them and ask for my review date then.
Meanwhile, I am going to complete the forms and get all my evidence photocopied and then just update it if anything changes between now and then.

Hi Hollyharvey
ESA is an indefinite award with scheduled reassessment based on the Prognosis Date completed by the assessor in their report, so your existing ESA award continues in payment until a new Decision is made.
