LCWRA was created by Andrew
Hi looking for some advice, i received a letter stating i was being awarded LCWRA from 08 June 2021 from when i first told DWP about my medical condition, which i indeed did, but looking back, this line was backdated for 8 weeks to 08/04/2021, when i first seen the doctor about my condition.
my question is this, do you get awarded LCWRA from the date you informed the DWP (ie 08/06/2021) as they have done, or should i have been awarded this back to (08/04/2021) to when i was first seen by the doctor and given an 8 week line, this could mean that the DWP could owe me a further two back payments
Any advice would be well appreciated

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

Hi Lincoln
Unfortunately to the best of my knowledge payments are only backdated to the date of the claim.
If anyone else knows different for LCWRA in particular please respond.
Regards
Pete

It is from the date that you informed the DWP of the Change of Circumstances.
