PIP Award Review Concerns was created by Tinol
Hi all,
In January 2019 I was awarded with the Daily Living and Mobility components of Personal Independence Payment (PIP) both of which were at the standard rates. This award was backdated to February 2018, to last originally until February 2023 following an appeal at the First-Tier Tribunal.
In January 2021 I was advised via letter that my award had been extended until November 2023, due to the COVID-19/Coronavirus pandemic, as award reviews had been suspended for six months. The letter stated that the DWP would contact me again 'before the new end date' of my award.
However, despite this, earlier today (17 December 2022) I received an Award Review form through the post stating that I needed to complete this and submit it by January 2023, less than a month's time and a month before the original expiry date of my award. This has presumably been sent out in error, on the basis that whoever has sent it is still working to the old deadline date that was in place, prior to the pandemic and subsequent extension.
I would greatly appreciate advice on how I should proceed with this, as I still have a copy of original extension letter, which assured me that my award was to last until November 2023.
Many thanks.

Hi Tinol
I have commented on your other post, which I saw first. You were awarded an extension until November 2023, but review forms are routinely sent out up to 12 months before an award ends - which has happened to you. This is to give them plenty of time to process them. You need to get onto the DWP and ask for an extension for returning the form, which will be granted- but if you ignore the form because you think it was wrongly sent out and you miss the current deadline, your claim could be cancelled.
