Although the DWP asks people to inform them if there is a change in their medical condition, they are only really interested if a claimant's health has improved. For the DWP to consider a claimant's new conditions, the DWP want them to have had it for three months before informing them and a certainty that they will have it for at least nine months afterwards.
Plenty of claimants wait until their next review to inform the DWP of any new condition. It's a common practice - so you don't need to tell them anything at this stage. You are right to be cautious because you don't want to trigger a review.
